The manhole should have been blocked off before it was even opened.
This could have happened to anyone walking down the street, even talking to a friend, not just texting... Not to say people should look where they walk, but who the hell expects a manhole to be open?? Not me! |

Lol. I think they are glad she fell in the hole. It wasn't that deep enough to be seriously injured. Now the family has an excuse to sue.

I don't have any sympathy for her at all. I trip and fall all the time, I'm clumsy when I walk. But it is my own fault. If I trip and fall into a hole, I consider it my own fault.

But to fall INTO a manhole? What normal person wouldn't see a huge hole in the ground? She would have if she wasn't texting and was paying attention to where she was walking. Thats JMPO. |

I'm thinking if she's so engrossed in texting to fall down a manhole, she'd probably be endangering her life in so many other ways she was lucky to not have been killed. She could have been run over by a car or at least knocked her head into something by now. |
