How odd. I wonder if stressful situations trigger her amnesia? I'm glad she's back with her Dad.

I am happy that she was returned to her family IF they are not the ones that did something to her tramatic enough to cause the memory loss. {Sorry, but I am a realist}
The more I read about this, the more that I want to know if they investigated the father. To leave just because he is coming over? There is more to this that is not being looked at. I am sorry, but I have helped to many girls through things where it was a family member. Sounds almost as if "fight or flight" has kicked in, that would in part explain the memory loss.
As I said just my thoughts.

^^well they did say she wasnt doing well in school.. so its natural for teens to get into arguments with their parents.

This smells like a fraction of a story to me. I hope she will be OK.

I wonder if she has a brain tumor or something physically wrong. And how did the dad not have her checked out by a neurologist if this happened before? And what's up with her teeth being bad? How about taking your kid in for regular medical care!!

When you are trying to keep a child of abuse from being noticed, the parents do not bring them to doctors or dentist, as they know what to look for. I still say the "father" needs to be investigated.
And it is natural to argue with your parents, but not so badily that you
1. move out
and
2. Leave when he is coming over.
I have only seen behavior one time, and it was not good. The girl was in horrible shape.
Like I said just my thoughts.
