Nathansgirl, I think it is going to play out like a soap opera once all the facts come out. I'm surprised how insistent the Miami Police Dept. is in saying that it was a robbery.

Agreed. I especially find the fact they'e insisting it was a random robbery odd. Sean's dad is police chief in Florida City (near Miami) so you know they're on this full force. The only thing I can think of is that they don't want some details to be made public. Antrel Rolle (cornerback for the Cardinals and childhood friend of Sean Taylor's) has been very vocal about the fact that he thinks Sean was murdered by one of his former friends. This completely contradicts everything the police dept has been saying.

I also find that allowing all those people in and out of the house, taking items, etc, this soon after his murder a bit unusual. Something smells.

::: s n i f f :::: Nope, not you. Okay girls, check your feet!

Seriously, I think any case they may have had is totally tainted with those pictures of people taking things out of the house. I don't know about you, but I would want answers to what happened to my loved-one LONG before I worried about his belongings.

Reminds me of vultures.

It is possible that LE have already processed the home for evidence/forensics. They are surprisingly efficient, so I would not imagine they'd let folks in there unless they'd done that. What a sad story.

Just on the news, three people are being questioned in Sean's death. It's on MSNBC, and hasn't been officially released.

^ Four were just arrested. Apparently they got a confession out of one of them. So sad.

Since it now seems to be a random robbery gone wrong, and unless something comes up that proves otherwise, I think every media outlet who said that Sean had it coming should have to issue an apology.

I thought I heard one say it was someone he knew, or knew he had a lot there. An aquaintence.

Course, I have been known to be wrong and today was hell. Don't take my word for it.

The Washington Post reported this morning that four young men (all teenagers) have been arrested and that all four had previous arrest records. Their young lives are now ruined and their families will always be haunted by their horrific crime as well.

I can't imagine how unbelievably sad his fiancee is. It is just awful.

This is from Foxsports.com:

"The Miami Herald reported that Mitchell and Wardlow had connections to Taylor. Mitchell cut Taylor's lawn and did other chores at the house, Mitchell's twin brother, Scottie, told the paper. Taylor's sister, Sasha Johnson, dates Wardlow's older cousin Christopher, and Scottie Mitchell told the paper the couple {Sean's sister and boyfriend} invited Jason Mitchell to Johnson's birthday party within the past two months."

^ Mitchell was arrested but hasn't been changed with anything, unlike the other 3. His mother claims he was home at the time of the shooting.

ESPN said this morning that Sean Taylor had seen the guys before but didn't actually know them. His sister uses his house while he's away, and apparently hangs out with questionable people. Either way, it isn't something Sean brought on himself. It's not like he was dealing with drugs and got shot because of it. People just wanted his money.

A bunch of newspapers and radio stations did. Mostly in editorials or talk segments. As a UM alum, I read almost every piece of information I could find on this. I was pretty disgusted by the coverage.

Here's a quote from an article from the Miami Herald called "Media has failed with Taylor coverage":

"We [the media] didn't have very much information immediately after Taylor's death, but we had too much time to fill without new information, so too much of Taylor's televised eulogy became noise and speculation and gossip-cloaked-in-journalism about his troubled past and how he had somehow brought it on himself."
