The rainbow appeared in the countryside in Richmond, North Yorkshire.

Rainbows appear when sunlight is reflected from raindrops, but in this case the Sun had set hours before. Instead a particularly bright Moon created the impressive bow.

I JUST saw this on the Daily Mail. I love how, despite their over-dramatizations of news stories, they dedicate space to beautiful things like this. Sites should do this more often, bring some joy to a page that otherwise usually only has bleak news reports.

My favorite is when they do photo sequences of animals. =]
