Default Please help - friend's daughter missing in Hawaii
Trying to get the word out to as many people as possible. A friend from college/sorority sister's daughter, Meghan Olcott, is missing. They live in Hilo on the Big Island. Please pass word along to anyone you know who might be able to help. Thank you! http://findmeghanolcott.com/

Article from http://www.hawaii247.org/2009/11/02/...ing-hilo-teen/
A 15-year-old Hilo girl has gone missing from her home. She did not attend school Monday and her friends say they have not heard from her. The family is asking Big Island residents to help in their effort to find Meghan Olcott.
Her mother, Brenda, issued this statement:
This morning I woke up at 2:30 a.m. to my worst nightmare, an empty bed. The world just fell apart without warning. Meghan, my 15 year old daughter, is missing.
I last saw Meghan when she went to bed about 10 p.m. on Sunday night. We had a great weekend and she was in good spirits – excitedly talking about school today.
I believe she has on a black Washington DC hood sweatshirt and is wearing blue teva slippers, nothing appears to be missing and her phone is off.
Meghan’s friends are looking for her, no one has heard from her.
A recent picture of Meghan is attached. She’s 15 1/2, about 5′5″ and 128 lbs. She has curly red hair, bright blue eyes and is loved beyond measure. I just want my daughter safe. I want her home. She is my heart & soul. Please keep her in your thoughts and please help us find her.
PLEASE HELP! Please call me at 808-557-8975 or the Police Department at 808-935-3311 with any information. Please ask Meghan to call home.

my heart goes with her family,

and that she can be with her family as soon as possible.

I also hope she is safe. There's a missing person's forum that you can post her information on http://www.nowmissing.com/. Here's another one http://www.missingpersonforum.com/. I hope that she arrives home safe. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I also posted a note on my facebook with her picture and information.

No news yet, sadly, or at least nothing reliable. One site that put out the info had someone say that they thought they'd seen her at a natural food store, so hopefully she's safe. Any help in spreading the word is hugely appreciated.
