Well....If it were up to me alone...Hmmm. I would first put her in a mental hospital to see if she knew what she did was wrong and is Psychotic and so enjoyed it, or if she is able to realize how horrible it was and is appalled that she did it. If she is able to realize her problem I would keep her in the hospital until the doctors were sure she was not a threat to any animal or person. Then when she got out she would have to do community service in the animal community. If she really is Psychotic and cannot be rehabilitated I would not be against permanently removing her from this world. We don't need someone like that in society no matter her age.

Now let me ask you....if she enjoyed hurting that dog and thinks that is just good fun what do you think should happen to her? Do we permanently lock her away in a mental hospital where we get to pay for her care for the rest of her life? Do we put her back out on the street and hope for the best?

I think she feels that what she did was no big deal and can't understand why all the fuss. She needs to be in a mental hospital at the very least. And jail would be better.
Agree. I honestly think she needs to be locked up in a mental insitution, a normal child would not do anything near what she did to the that poor dog, it shows a sign of mental sickness. She needs to be put away until doctors can help her or at least deem her fit to be around other human beings/animals again...and if she really is a psychopath...then honestly I don't feel that people like that deserves to be taken care of for their whole life.

Wow you don't think that mentality is just as sick as the child's is?
The first choice is not rehabilitation, not getting her the help she must need BUT killing a child!!!

Adults on here are picking at her size calling her a cow, wonder what she's heard to her face?
Do we have an idea what mental anguish she maybe going through at home and school that she would do that to an animal?
Shame on the adults who would call for the blood of a child, her actions ARE wrong but murdering her fixes nothing it's just as wrong!
I'm out

ITA.

I feel bad for the dog, but obviously she has problems...

If someone kicked my dog, I wouldn't wish death upon them, or even bother caring about whether or not she should be locked away, tbh...
i'd just sit around and cry. :( It's a really traumatizing video.

Whether or not she enjoyed/enjoys hurting the dog is irrelevant to me (as far as her treatment goes). In my opinion, she desperately needs and deserves professional help because her behaviour is the result of something ... unless she was born evil and I just can't bring myself to believe that.
Allowing her back on the street and hoping for the best would be the worst thing to do, for her and for society.

i agree. if it wasn't for his video, no one would have known. then the dog would be torture for who knows how long. i wish they could do something more to punish her. not just 'grounded'. also, she should be banned from owning animals for the rest of her life. i would sue her if i were the dog's owner. just make her pay $1 a month for the rest of her life. that is to remind her never to hurt animals again. i can't imaging her as a mom. she would have killed her own kids.

im an animal lover & owner. i would kill her if she did that to my babies. i once banned my sister-in-law from my house for calling my dog stupid. she showed up uninvited with her 4 kids. then they chased my poor little baby around & pulled his tail really hard. of course i didn't see that or else. i came back from outside & saw my baby barking & shaking. so i asked her & she said "that stupid dog almost bite my kids. they were just playing. what a stupid dog." they were not little kids. they should have known better. she knew i love my dogs to death & didn't do anything to stop them. i pull her to the side & said "i don't appreciate u calling my dog stupid. please leave & don't come back."
i still don't talk to her 'til this day.

Good point Lapis. Wishing a 12-year old dead for kicking a dog seems like a pretty sick and twisted line of reasoning to me too.
