Overall, there are probably a lot of deluded people in this whole equation. The man who thinks that he can continue to have affairs whenever and with whomever he chooses, while maintaining his marriage on the side. The wife who kids herself into thinking that after the first affair (or at least the first one he was caught in) he will remain faithful. The other woman who thinks that she will be the magic one to get him to leave his family, or who thinks that attempting to destroy his marriage further will drive him to her. And nevermind the son, who thinks that pouring his heart out to some stranger online is a good or safe thing to do.

ALL of these people have been kidding themselves. These situations NEVER have happy endings.

I also never understood that "logic". It sounds like this isn't the first time he cheated and it won't be the last. This chick is one of many. I can't believe she had the nerve to hand deliver the letter! My heart breaks for the wife and kids. How embarassing. Also in the letter she mentioned something about not getting pregnant because he had a vasectomy. So they were having unprotected sex? So who knows what STD's he might have brought some to his wife. Geez this guy is a class act!

ESPN announced that he's been fired.

Interesting that he did pretty much the same thing as David Letterman, and yet people make excuses for Letterman's behavior and condemn this guy. (Letterman wasn't married but was in a 23 year long relationship with the mother of his son.) They are both scum, IMO.
