I could not agree more. Another parent with childhood issues who refuses to recognize the problem & get help.

How disgusting those 'adults' are! I cannot believe that there is no way to press charges! Those people should be in jail. I cannot believe grown people did this to a child!

OMG, what a horrible story. I have no words.... Seriously, that lady is a horrible, horrible person and I hope they take her children away - nobody should be raised by a person like that.

WOW. This is a shocking story. Completely sickening.

That poor little girl. Its so easy to get overwhelmed with your emotions especially at that age. Its so frustating for us to know that if she decided to go to dinner, etc not think about the hateful email for a bit it wouldn't have felt so bad/overwhelming/worth ending her life.

A guy I knew from grade school, Greg, committed suicide when we were about 18 yrs old. He was a good-looking guy, nice, popular, an athlete so it was shocking. Some rumors came out after that his dad was accused of molesting a young boy, so know who what happened to Greg. But I think about him sometimes and think about how if he hadn't made that decision that night and instead went to hang with friends, he'd probably be married with kids and happy right now.

I agree it is the individual's choice to do what they do, but for adult to basically hand them the loaded gun demands some culpability.

So tragic. The people involved are cruel and heartless. No criminal charges, no civil charges... I hope this haunts them, tears them apart, for the rest of their pathetic lives.

This is one of the most awful things I've ever heard. I can not believe how they can get away with that. I mean the contributed to suicide. How can they live with themselves.

This is so sick I don't even know what to say. How could you not "feel as guilty" for contributing to someone's death?

The thing that I can't get over in this case is that a MOTHER created this MySpace fake account and trolled this little girl.

THEN, this same MOTHER, after the suicide, destroyed evidence (deleted the Josh account), intimidated witnesses (yet another teen and her single mom who knew about the fake account), feigned friendship with the mourning parents, and threatened the newspaper to "be careful what you print about me!"

There are no words for these people.

By the way, the family's names ARE on the internet now. They've been posted on numerous blogs. Of course I won't post them here but they are out there for anyone to find (and I'm sure people are). Maybe that will spur those people to move so that the poor parents of this girl no longer have to look at them living on the same street!

I expect this story to make a national show like Dateline very soon.

I am really speechless, I can't believe this. This poor little girl. Why are people so mean? WTH was wrong with this "mother"? Sick, sick people!
I am one of those people who hate myspace. Even when I was younger when myspace was "popular" in that age group, I never joined it, I realized it was too much drama and these kids' life seemed to revolve around it. And plus, you hear all of these stories about cyber-bullying using myspace. It's really sad how kids treat each other nowadays, it's even worse when a grown adult acts like a child. I am so saddened by this absolute tragic story.

I'm totally disgusted by this story. Disgusted at the mother who preyed on a CHILD and disgusted at the justice system. How can she get away with this??? That mother should keep on thing in mind, karma is a b*&^%.

It is just so sick. I mean adults acting this way and doing this to a young girl and having their daughter and her friends in on it. What are they teaching their daughter. It is sad that there are parents who want their child to be the popular one and will go to any extreme to tourture other children at the expense of their own. Social services should take their kids away and the parents belong in jail. I hope the national news programs do a in dept story on them. They deserve to live every day in HEL__ for what they did but I am sure that they are the type who have no regrets...and no problem with their actions because a normal person would not do these things.

So you have a young girl dead and her family torn apart and each day is a nightmare for them. I pray they find some peace in knowing that others stand behind them and wish them comfort.

Lost for words here! I wish the prosecutor can find some legal angle to pursue this matter to court. I am sick to see that no charges are filed yet with the police. These ppl cannot go away unscathed, it is appalling!

Kids have falling out all the time. I can't believe this particular mother is so upset with the fact that her daughter had a falling out with Megan, so as to act so drastic with creating the fake account and such. And to know beforehand that Megan had some mental issues and still get on with it? *shakes head in disgust*
I remember lots of times when I had a falling out with a friend and was fuming loudly for all the ppl in my house to know. My parents would always ask what happened and give advice, but there were times when they were just laughing about it coz they knew this is what kids do. So, for this mother from hell to take the matter so seriously and trolled poor Megan is beyond anything.
