And since child support is calculated based on income, those who have lower-paying jobs pay less. If this guy can only pay $1.49 to each child per month, then so be it. If he isn't delinquent in his payments, it shouldn't matter how much they are. If there were a financial litmus test for having children, then millions of people would need to be sterilized, as there are millions of people (both men and women) without the means to support a child. Thus far, the courts have never ruled that a person must be of a certain economic class in order to reproduce.

Did the article say that the mothers couldn't afford their kids? We shouldn't assume these aren't working educated women, you'd be surprised what some women will lay down with
