I hope this doesn't go any further and I hope he does try to work things out.

M.A.D.D. is such a wonderful organization and they make such a difference. I just hope they start to focus more on their cause as opposed to going after this salon.

GUESS WHAT? I got a human response - not terse legalese spouting either. He was very nice and said he didn't need to create any more enemies, and most importantly - he was going to get everyone on the phone to see if they could work things out....How amazing is that?

Is it possible that I actually helped? Nah...that would mean something went right in the world for once...LOL

woo hoo!! i hope something happens!

my dh and i were talking about this last night...and he said that if gets to the point that M.A.D.D. was going to sue the Madd Hatter's salon then the owner should take it to court. a judge takes into consideration the fact whether one would think "Madd Hatter's".... had anything to do with M.A.D.D. and also if the salon would make any money from using that name. i personally don't see how it could be confused...one a salon, the other a non-profit org that does a fantastic job, but seems to have a few things confused at the moment....

They would be a sorry excuse for an organization if they continue to pursue this. I really hope they drop the matter, because they've already lost my respect. If they want to gain any back, they'll do the right thing and leave the salon alone. This is coming way out of left field! I see no reason to this whatsoever.

i mean...does it matter if MADD is an acronym. they're legal name is "mother's against drunk driving" do they have MADD trademarked? this makes no sense. The MADD is distinctly different from Cadillac or any other name brand. seems to me that their name matches their demeanor. madd as in a little crazy...

they should be putting their money towards worthwhile causes they support. what a waste of donor's money
