It's called Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA).

And she didn't consult a therapist about this . . . why?

I think I'll wait to be outraged until I see this story from a few legitimate news sources.

(Though if it is real I will be disgusted along with the rest of you.)
I wondered the same thing. I found it strange that the mother was quoted as fancying her son. That is more of a British way of saying it, not a Texan's. The magazine shown in the pic is called Closer. I do not know anything about it, but it looks rather tabloid-ish.

That was my first thought, too.

That's it then. Closer is a British magazine. Apparently the Zimbabwe Mail's idea of journalism is to buy a tabloid, plagiarize the contents and report it as news. The truth has no place on the internet!

I suppose some people would believe Texans capable of anything.

It's mentioned in the article itself - it's called Genetic Sexual Attraction and the son researched it in detail himself.

Yes, the quotes from the two throw me off. "His tanned six pack abs" - I mean, really?!

Maybe I am just trying to push this out of my head as being plausible...

As cringe-worthy as this is, I'm indifferent. It's not something I personally agree with and I hope they don't try to have a child. But, I would turn a blind eye and let them be because they are two consenting adults. It is weird, but if they are in love and aren't hurting anyone, then so be it. If they want to create a child, because of the risks, then I think we can blast them then.
If anything, I feel kinda bad for them. I'm sure they don't WANT to feel this way, but they do and can't help it. We don't always get to choose who we are attracted to. And who knows, there prob may be something deeper than what's on the surface. Maybe it's some sort of chemical condition they both have lol.

I am also skeptical. The spelling alone made me think that it was a joke.

But still...there are stories out there like this and they are absolutely disgusting!

I take issue with this. We can be attracted to people we see every day, but that doesn't mean we ACT on it. We may not choose who we're attracted to, but we do choose who to sleep with. This was something they CHOSE to do; it wasn't beyond their control. This idea that people have no control over who they end up falling in love with is a myth, IMO. When we don't act on an attraction (like with 99% of the people we find ourselves attracted to - like after marriage), it never has the opportunity to develop into love.
