18 year old gets 56 stars tattooed on face

18 year old cleaner Kimberly Vlaeminck had a favored make-up look, she liked to put three black dots next to her right eye.
One day, out with her parents and boyfriend, her father asked her if she wouldn't like to have the three dots tattooed. He offered to pay, a gift.
She was enthusiastic and went into tattoo shop Tattoo Box in Kortrijk (Belgium). The artist in residence was Rouslan Toumaniantz, an emigré from France who spoke no Dutch, only English and French.
Kimberly speaks only Dutch, no English or French and therefore had some trouble explaining what she wanted. She also did not understand much of what he said to her. Only that he figured stars would look nicer than dots.
She says she agreed on 4 stars but then dozed off as she felt no pain (because being tattooed next to your eye like totally doesn't hurt )
When she 'woke up' she found her face covered in 56 stars. The girl is mortified, claims she cannot leave the house like this and is suing the artist and shop.

The artist from his part, claims to have shown her a stencil and says she agreed and was awake the whole time. Other visitors in the shop concur that Kimberly was awake the whole time.

Experts say the tattoo is removeable but it will take at least 15 sessions with a laser, at €750 per session and considerable pain. Not to mention the white spots on the skin left by the treatment. picture below

Also quite stupid to be a tattoo artist in a place where so many people can't understand you (we're supposed to be tri-lingual but Kortrijk is one of those places that's a little...backward...)

IMHO she was a very stupid girl, maybe a little drunk or trying to be Kat von D but certainly very stupid. I do sort of hope someone will take some pity on her and try to fix the face, the pain can't be helped but maybe the cost a bit. I'm not condoning the stupidity but it will be mentally scarring too and that cannot be good.

I have some tattoos and even though I admire the little stars Kat von D has I would never in a gazillion years get anything needled on my face. And even though I like them on her, I think even Kat von D will eventually not be loving hers.

this is bad! If she was asleep, where is her father?? But what happen to the simple paper and pen communication? it's not that hard to draw a face, and dot where she want the tats at. can't imagine how her mom will react after she get home

Ohmygod! Didn't anyone go with her? I thought you were always supposed to bring someone with you when you got a tatoo. And Make sure you speak the same language as the tatoo artist!

. I'm not sure I believe that she fell asleep. I only have one tattoo and it hurt like hell. There's no way I could slept through that.

I thought maybe she was drunk, or high... but then the tattooist would refuse to do it. Maybe she had a wild moment and consented to all 56 then regretted it later and made up a story. Who knows? I feel so sorry for her whatever happened, it must be dreadful to have a tattoo like that and not want it! Poor girl. I hope the removal goes well...

Tattoo artists should never do anything on ppl that are high or drunk. She probably had too much too drink ,and partied too hard on her birthday.
In the tattoo parlor close to my place the lady who is the owner makes everyone come to get their tattoo early in the morning after she interviews them.
