They probably have waited so long because they've been working on getting a strong case against Guess. At the end this won't break Guess.

I agree with [coco], in the 90's guess was a lot more respectable, I remember my mother always dressing me in Guess. I think this lawsuit was necessary they go to an extreme with ripping of Gucci, their Marciano line has a replica of the gucci 'iman" sandal and it's VERY good, if I saw someone with them I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Hmm, I'll be surprised if anything comes of this. Think how many department stores brands are based on high-end designs...I would say most of them have a least a handful of products that are shockingly similar to designer goods. Off hand, Nine West, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Steve Madden...the list is endless.

I noticed Guess products were becoming way too similar to some of the Gucci pieces in the past couple of years. It's about time, Gucci did something about it - though I don't know if it's going to stop Guess from ripping off the designs.
