You'll be dead. You won't have any awareness of WHERE you're buried. What's it matter? Waste of money. I won't know whether I'm buried near a celebrity or sealed in a vat of mayonnaise and shot into Mars' orbit. I couldn't possibly be the wiser.

I would like a tombstone instead too!

It seems that there are several spaces next to monroe that are unused also! They're gonna make bank...i guess?

This is just ridiculous. I can't believe dead Marilyn Monroe is still causing this type of craze.

And it's horrible to think the seller is moving her loved one from their eternal resting place just to make profit.

widow to deceased crypt occupant:

"darling im so sorry that i have to remove you from your not so final resting place above MM. but i do need a new house, and perhaps a new car. and i have been dying, no pun intended, to visit france. i hope you don't mind too much. i have you nice plot of land that you should find just as comfortable. it's not around any one famous, but it's got a nice shade tree...."

^^^crazy I wonder if its the widow or perhaps some family members who realized how much the crypt is worth? I'd be afraid to move someone from their burial place without neccessity.

I heard that it is the widow of the current occupant... and she's selling the tomb to pay off the mortgage on her house. She wants to be able to leave it "free and clear" to her kids when she kicks off.

Not a bad reason, imo.
