Awww, why is everybody so harsh on these teenagers? Yeah, making a pact to get pregnant at such a young age is definitely a bad idea, but try to think of what happened until they got to that point. There have probably been a lot of things wrong in their upbringing.

Also, they will soon realize that a baby is not a solution for their problems. They are too young to realize how hard it is to raise a child and it will be a rude awakening for them. They don't need to be bashed more by adults. I feel sorry for them.

I hope there are lots of people working on how to improve the situation for teenagers in problematic areas by offering them a perspective on a better life in the future. One that is more realistic than finding unconditional love and happiness by getting pregnant.

What fools these girls are. Motherhood (especially single parenthood) is very difficult and not as glamourized as they think it is...

by the way, this would make a good Lifetime movie

You sound sweet, so don't take this the wrong way...
But wouldn't you be pretty harsh (at least at first) if your daughter came home really excited one day and said, "Mommy, I'm going to be a mommy! A hobo knocked me up and now I get a baby of my own! All my friends think I'm sooo cool..."

Jeez when I was a teenager it was "in" to wear leg-warmers. Today it's having babies? I had my first at 28 and it was tough then! They are missing the best years of their lives. Unfortunately their babies are going to grow up to do the same exact thing.

GAH!! I would be pretty livid, unless I encouraged my daughter to do that type of thing.

I'm just curious, do you think the fathers' knew about this beforehand? I mean the guy who is homeless, do you think the girl might have paid him? Or did she just randomly ask?

i am at a loss for words..... but this isnt as extreme as it sounds...only because it was a group of girls...
alot of teenagers on their own think of this and have babies....everyday-- their home lives is so bad, they want someone to love them and take them away...
I had my first at 24 and it was ok....I always loved kids and babies when I was young I was the family babysitter- but no thoughts of having my own.....until I was graduated and in love with the right man... now this homeless man worries me....24- gosh- so unsafe and careless...

she probably purposely had random sex with him and didnt tell him she had the intention of getting pregnant.

I dont think a homeless man would leap for joy to have a kid.

What I really want to know is will the fathers of these babies ALSO be held accountable for their actions???

NONE of these stories mention this fact. They should be held for half of the responsibility.

Wow - these girls are complete fools!!! I had my first baby at 32 with my HUSBAND and it was wow - your whole world turns upside down - I can't imagine having a baby at that age!! With attitudes like this these girls shouldn't be having pets let alone babies. Those poor babies. Looking for love from a newborn???? Are you kidding me??

Did anyone watch the Today Show today and see the interview they had with a girl from Gloucester High??

Man...that was painful to watch. I think the message that should have been taken out of that interview is:

Don't get pregnant when you're a teen because you'll end up a dumb as this girl!
