guess it depends on the kind of bag, the article mentioned that a bag can be an impulse buy while a watch cannot.

I find many people go gaga over a watch, but maybe it's mostly men that do so. I, myself, am a women who's gaga for watches (but dislike jewelry) as a close second to handbags. But, those two are all that I go for in the fashion industry.

I find a lot of luxury watches going for much less than 10 grand and mostly in the range of handbags too though, so it's not like I don't really have a watch collection because they just cost more; it's just that I don't want to focus on both bags and watches at the same time because of the financial issue.

I adore watches, but Patek Philippe and the like... I couldn't buy (a new) one with my whole bag collection's worth, so I can understand why people cut back on these, but not bags. but then again it's about the middle range, I bet those super rare, super exp. (several 100K to a million) still go well
