this is why i think all guns are bad. i think it would be an easy case of mistaken identity being that the homeowner was holding the intruder at gunpoint...usually its the other way around. now the "got ur back" comment is obviously sketchy.

and as a little side note, if it were the intruder that he had shot, he wouldve been praised. just sayin...

With the evidence I have seen in the media, I cannot understand why they were completely cleared. There has to be something else there...it makes review boards look really bad. I'm not a fan of most review boards anyway; they are usually just too political.
sad to say but every police officer i have had to deal with has been a complete ass...couple of examples: my house was broken into 4 times...i was told to dust better by one and then questioned by another as to why i didn't have a dog and a fence, as if it was my fault some jerk broke in and stole all my stuff. my sisters house was flooding and we were trying to help her save her belongings [drove around a barricade] got a ticket in the end and the cop wouldn't even find out if they were ok, he said he 'was too busy to find out'..too busy doing what? sitting in his car? which is exactly what he was doing. the DA even threw out the ticket and said the cop was in the wrong...plus all the stuff you read/see in the media.

now don't get me wrong there are some excellent cops out there that do their job and keep the public safe, but then there are those that are fat and lazy and could really care less, and they abuse the power that they have. sadly those are the only ones that i have had the pleasure of dealing with. :( shame

^This is the reason why I am hesitant to post in law enforcement related threads. I guess I could say that every person I've encountered from Montgomery County is incredibly ignorant, but that wouldn't be fair, would it?

^^ fair...no. perhaps true...yes. montgomery county is a lot of woods [and that is a joke, i used to live there and i have family that live there now]

it's my opinion and it's based on what i have personally dealt with and read. like i said, there are great cops out there but sadly i have meet more jerks than not and guess what county all those dealings with happened in....

but back on topic i fully feel that what the cop did was not right...the other cop failed to give him vital information and for that the homeowner got shot and could have been killed...they treat him horribly and then he gets off scott free...i don't understand that part. he should suffer some punishment for his actions, and some new training.
