Sorry for the hijack.

Happens in the US, too!!! LOL.

What a lazy *****! People who take advantage like that anger me. I have no respect for them. Weight has nothing to do with it... it's her attitude!

Absolutely! But what maddens me is that people with that attitude are rewarded by the State. It would be quite another if they chose not to work, or take responsibility for themselves, but didn't get a penny in Benefits. Then I wouldn't care less how they chose to live their miserable existances. But whilst the Taxpayer keeps her in her mire of laziness and ennui, I shall continue to rant about the likes of this parasitical sloth

^^^ thelace, I'd be totally raging too and might even take it personal if I have to pay great amount of tax of my hard-earned money just to see it goes to those kind of lowlifes

She's just downright shameless and obviously a sloth

Round of applause at the part in bold. I was not a huge fan of Supersize me because i thought it was ridiculous. If someone eats that much fast food, they should expect to have problems.

As for the original article, was she on disability simply because of her weight or did she also have other health problems going on? I couldn't really tell. I'm glad though that she made the choice to lose weight after seeing what happened to her mother.

And a big thanks to the poster who posted how many lbs equal a stone because I had NO idea.

Clearly she is suffering from some sort of mental issues. That should have been addressed along with her morbid obesity.

I think this is a problem with these weight loss surgeries who don't always address all the problems people have like food choices and mental states. I know of atleast 2 people in a weight loss support group who gained all their weight back after gastic bypass due to other problems that weren't addressed before surgery. Doctors treat patients in this realm very differently and I think some are too quick to give the surgery without properly evaluating patients and giving them adequate support during the entire process.

she said that she got some money for "her depression" so has some issues...but maybe if she got off her a$$ and did something she would feel better, get those endorphins going and she wouldn't be piling on the weight once again.

that really disgusts me...how in the world is she special? what about the people that truly need help, but they can't get it? and then that money went to help an emotional eater to have gastric bi-pass surgery? i don't get it!! what in the hell is wrong with the world??

put down the freakin crisps and cookies and pick up a carrot or rice cake....since you don't "emotionally" feel like an apple...grrrrrr!

**funny side story...i was hungry so grabbed some sun chips [the peppercorn ranch are yummy] and was eating a few....then i read the article and i put them away...lol

What I feel the worst part is, is that she's been given a second chance at life that many, many bigger people would give an eye tooth for, and it appears that she's simply taken it for granted to the point that she feels the need to reverse the gift she has been given so that she can gain an extra 100 quid per month. Particularly after her mother died from an obesity-related illness... wouldn't that hit home just slightly?

That's enough to offend anybody
