Yes, it is battery on an officer BUT that person has to actually KNOW the person is an officer....it is also a different penal code section than battery on an on duty officer.

Just like in ANY career..including lawyers, doctors, nurses, etc. There are ALWAYS going to be bad seeds.....the good ones usually outweigh the bad.

It is just the way it is unfortunately. Yes, police are supposed to be held to a higher standard and all of that; however, they are still human and with that comes crap like that internet site sadly enough.
