What is the world is happening to these people? I really want to understand that mistakes can happen, but this is an epidemic.

I don't understand people forgetting their children...and I don't understand the day care providers not being worried and trying to call.

That's insane. How could you forget that your child is in the car and knowing that the child has to be brought to daycare?

Very irresponsible parents!

I don't believe for one minute that these children are being forgotten. I belive they're being murdered. And until the law starts treating these cases as murders, people are going to keep doing it. I should've never read the article.

I agree. I should not have read it, but it was from Houston, so I did. I know how bloody hot it is here in San Antonio. Takes me half way home for my car to cool off and that's with the AC on. How horrific a death for these poor babies. I have tried to feel sympathy for the parents, BUT, how can you forget?????? There certainly does need to be an example set for people to start paying attention. I wonder sometimes what's wrong in the minds of those that have done this.

This is dispicable! How come no one else saw the child in the car? I mean all day alone in the car an no one saw him? This is such a sad story...all of these stories are terrible. I agree that we really need to set an example. Start prosecuting these women and maybe people wont take this situation for granted. I just dont understand how you could "forget"! I just dont believe it to be true!

I saw this on the news last night. We have had two days in a row where this has happened. Four this summer. This latest one was so sad because he got himself out of his carseat and tried to get himself out of the truck. I cant even begin to imagine what his little mind was thinking. I just keep thinking about my three year old. It makes me so unbelievably sad and mad. I cry every time I think about it.

As a parent, I honestly cannot understand how you could forget & leave your child in the car and especially for that amount of time..All day?!! I wish I never read this either..This just breaks my heart! What makes it even more heartbreakingly unbearable (if that's possible) is that the poor little angel tried to get out..How could anyone not see him? I'm just sick & distraught over this May that precious innocent little Angel rest in peace

Reading this stuff makes me so upset! I'm from Houston and it has been VERY VERY HOT these past few weeks. The temps are in the 90's-100's and when I get into the car it tells me the temp inside the car is 108!! Could you even begin to imagine how horrible it would feel to sit in a car in that kind of heat?! I can't even walk outside the door to my car without breakin a little sweat!

And the excuses that these parents give are just ridiculous! Seems like a lot of parents are leaving their children in their cars in this hot Houston weather, and a lot of other parents are letting their kids wonder off into pools as well!

That poor baby. If this truly was unintentional, that mother is going to have a hard time living with herself.

The news people said last night that in our temps around here, that the inside of the car would reach about 140-150 within an hour. That 108 is what the car is reading outside sitting in the sun. It's much hotter inside the car

Who the heck knows this mom may be the sole provider working three jobs. It may have been an honest but horrible mistake something she will have to live with the rest of her life.

I agree....I find it hard to believe that people are just so busy that they forget about their kids...it's happening too much these days that i just don't buy it anymore.
