ITA. I watched this kid on the Today show the other morning and couldnt believe the nonchalant attitude the parents and sister had and just how smug this kid was! I dont find it cute at all and cannot believe that he only got grounded for 4 days from no tv or video games!
If that had been my kid, he would have been grounded for weeks and not been able to sit down by the time I was done! Not cute at all and I am also one of those really worried about how this kid is going to act as a teenager if he is already pulling stunts like this and running from the cops!

Okay you're all gonna hate me for saying this, but after watching this video again on Youtube and reading the comments, I noticed something unusual. if you look carefully when the kid jumped out of the car to run to his house, the car suddenly stops (or put in "Park") AFTER he jumped out. Now, realistically, the car would still be moving. Obviously. Some were speculating that the DAD was driving the car the whole time, thus making this news a fake.

Come on, think about it. Realistically a 7 year old could NEVER drive a car, let alone even seeing the windshield and touching the gas pedals.

Sorry, but this news is a joke.

^The problem with your theory is that the police were right there in sight of the car. If dad had been in the car, he would be sitting in jail right now for such a dangerous prank.

I think the little brat waited until the car drifted to a stop and then booked it for the barn.

I don't find it funny either. What if someone had been standing infront of that car? What if someone's pet had been infront of the car? My dad would have beat the crap out of me if I had pulled that.

I don't find this humorous or cute either. That kid would have earned himself some very serious punishment if I were his mom. He didn't want to go to church huh? How about now he goes every single day for a month, and has to clean the pews with Murphy's Oil Soap! What a brat!
