What would you do?

OK so I'm 34 and have been putting off having children for career and my husband going to College, etc.... And I just can't wait anymore!

DH & I have been talking for awhile.. I'm on prenatal vitamins and trying to eat healthy, etc. I actually had to get back on my BC for the last couple months- I was off for a year, and my periods just got too painful. We were using condoms during this time. SO we haven't TRIED yet. Anyway.. when I take out my Nuva ring on Sunday.. it should be my last until after pregnancy hopefully!

So here is my dilemna- we are going to Cancun for a wedding June 17-23rd... originally we plannned on this being the baby making kickoff (Sorry I'm a big fofotball fan! LOL)- ovulation was supposed to happen right at the middle to end of this vacation- so perfect.. well over the last few months I've been tracking and it seems it may happen about a week earlier.. Jun 11th-15th! It may be longer since my cylces are usually longer when I'm off BC... but what would you do?

I'm afraid if we try in June then I got to Cancun.. I will be freaking out about everything I eat or drink (Cerveza)... wondering if I'm pregnant. I might be able to lengthen it a little by keeping my Nuva ring in just a few days longer and postponing the start of my period? But I'm wondering if maybe I should get one more month of BC then try in July? Or am I just being too concerned about drinking during the first week of conception?

I don't know what to do!

No more BC, it will mess up your body again! I'd say don't worry, just have a blast at Cancun. Just limit yourself on the alcohol consumption.

Yeah everyone I talked to said they had a few drinks the first week or two before they knew they were pregnant.

If you think you MAY be preggers becuase you tried, stay away from the liquor. Noone will notice unless you point it out. Have a great vaca!!!

Yeah well we are traveling and staying in the same hotel with my SIL and her DH, and she already told me we were going to party down there! I told her I'm trying to cut back anyway and she knows we are going to start TTC.. so hopefully she will give me a break.. and not hassle me too much!
