I was doing sit ups this moring and was thinking, if anything is going on down there, am I messing it up (God this sounds even DUMBER when I write it! ) |

You are too funny agreed!! But I actually have no idea if it is harmful or not. I would think not, but you never know.

I doubt it. Consider this: there are women in "third" world countries that have lives based on extreme manual work throughout their pregnancy. Your body has many mechanisms to protect a viable pregnancy.

Too funny!! I used to take an aerobics class and the teacher was pregnant. Even at 7 months along she had more energy than I did, was in better shape, and could do more sit-ups! So, I guess the point is if your body is used to the workout, it will be ok during pregnancy!

That is wild! The woman I was talking about didn't even look pregnant from behind. You had to look at her from the side to tell!! She looked better in spandex pregnant than I ever will not pregnant. I wonder how hard it is to do that? I've obviously never been pregnant before, but I've heard stories on how hungry pregnant women get...I'm scared I will look like a mini hippo!!

i think the general rule of thumb is only do what ur body is used to doing...like a marathon runner can continue (a lighter regiment) to run, but if u've never run, don't start when pregnant! as for ab work...i would be weary....
