Question about TTC...

Hi girls! So I have a diclaimer that the following question you are about to read some may find disgusting. Just a warning!

DH and I did the BD. My question is how long is long enough to lay there before it all "leaks out" when you get up? I waited about 20 minutes before I got up and got dressed, but apparently that wasn't long enough. Ugh. Gross.

No matter how long you lie down, some of them will come out. I think 20 mins is good enough.

What goes up, must come down! LOL Seriously though, I think 20 minutes is fine to lay there to make sure they "get to their destination" but you may not even need that much time. They are quick little swimmers!

You will find a lot of varying answers on this topic. Some have said you do not need to lay there at all and some say up to a half and hour. "It" will leak back out no matter what, but the important ones have already made their way to their oh so important destination. I would say with 20 minutes you are fine to get up.

I have a friend that says her dh's stuff never comes out. I asked her where does it go and she said her body just absorbs it. That's so strange to me!

I ditto this one. There really is no evidence that shows staying put does anything. The one that will do the job will be well on it's way within seconds if it's not it's unlikely the ones that aren't on their way will do anything at all.

Girl, even if I fall asleep after and wake up 8 hours later, when I get up, it comes out.

Only time it did not come out was after he IUI... they put it sooooo far up I guess... and the fertility doctor says to lay there 10 min.
