Default Progesterone levels?!

Have been taking clomid for 6 months now and was at the hospital today to see where DH & I go from here.

I'm 2 days late but tested negative on day 28 and have had cramp for nearly 2 weeks (off and on) so not getting my hopes up.

Had a blood test taken on day 20 (GP clinic closed for the weekend so was on the Friday). DH asked what my progesterone levels were this month [the first month was 34] and the consultant said it was 94 [and had been 54 two months ago]. He made a comment about it being "a bit too high" and told me to make an appt in a week if my AF hasn't started. Now I don't know what to think...I've read a High progesterone level could indicate pregnancy or twins but somewhere else said it didn't (and another lady said her AF had started and she was 108). Every time I go to the loo, I'm praying it's not started...I'm back at work tomorrow and the wait is killing me...if it's negative then I can get on with things but this, hasn't started yet but cramping is torture.

I got a BFP last week after cramping for 2 weeks straight, I'm still cramping actually. I didn't get my BFP until the day before AF was due. My progesterone level is 30 and my RE said that was good. I'm not sure what it means if it's high.

Fingers crossed for you!

AF started late last night so not this month

Am going to take a few months off (no clomid) and see if anything happens naturally. Our consultant is also going to send in a referral for IVF so there's still some hope. I think the most depressing thing is "technically" we're both healthy i.e. I'm ovulating, DH's count normal but it's just not happening for us.

Baby dust to all

Hugs to you Alidoll. We were the same way - no good reason for it not working (we only found out later what was wrong) - and that is so frustrating. But a few months off might be a good thing to let yourself recover from the Clomid and then maybe try IVF. And who knows - your "time off" might be the time!

Thanks folks...sometimes DH just doesn't "get" how difficult it is (he's not the one being prodded and poked every month). He's all for IVF but I hate needles and having to inject every day scares me witless. I'm praying that we can conceive natually in the next few months as hopefully my progesterone levels will still be high from the 6 months of clomid. Hugs to you all TTC
