preg test with irregular cycles?

when you have irregular cycles, when should you take a pregnancy test?

I have been experiencing some cramping and am unsure if its AF or not. I had to take progesterone to bring on my last 2 periods, so I am wondering if this cramping is me getting my period on my own or what...

today is day 28 of my cycle. I have a dr's appt in 2 days where i will get results for progesterone blood work taken on day 22 among other results (hsg and FSH). I think progesterone is needed to maintain a pregnancy ( if i am not mistaken) and want to know before i go if i am pregnant incase my progesterone levels were low....

maybe this doesnt make sense...anybody have any advice?

Did you ever take a test?

bebek I would test on the middle of the range, and after the max day of the cycle range. As in if your cycles range btw 21 and 30 days I'd test on day 25 and day 31. Since you're going to the doc you can request a preg test they are more accurate than HPT kits. Baby dust to you.

I would test on the absolute max. date you have ever had your period due. For example, if I had cycles lasting from 25 to 36, I would test on the 36th day.
