Need Opinion/Advice

DH and I have been TTC since early this year. Finally, this month I've missed my period. AF suppose to be here on Sunday May 4th, it didn't came. I was surprised because my cycle is always 28 days for years. Never missed a period and always come on time. So I'm 4 days late. I have no sign of AF coming soon. I feel that every month when its about to come. My breast have this tingling feeling sometimes, frequent urination, nausea in the morning and my basal body temperature still stays high. I also have this abdominal pain once a while for 3 days since I've missed my period, it lessen down today. I hope I am not thinking too much. Anyways, I took a pregnancy test on Tuesday May 6th, it turns out negative. I thought those early pregnancy test can detect even before you missed your period. I really did missed it but turns out negative.

So I need some advice, wondering if anyone has this experience before? missed your period but turns out negative still? My mom advice me not to take the test in another 10 days or so. She said maybe it is too early so it won't be able to detect it. But I'm so eager to know. Should I get a different brand of pregnancy test? Does it make a difference? Should I wait a little bit longer? My mom has a point though, if AF gonna come it will eventually come. And if I'm really pregnant, I will know eventually. I guess I'm just too anxious to find out. Any thoughts?

For what its worth...A friend of mine didn't test positive until a week after her missed period, and she tested 3 times before she got a positive.

You could go to the doctor and have a blood test - I believe they can detect earlier than home kits can.

yeah but I think I should wait for a little more... Patience is a torture but oh wellz.. nothing much I can do now but wait

It is not unusual for AF to be late for a week, if you're under stress. But I do hope you'd get your BFP in a few days!

In Feb. i was 6 days late and tested neg. twice But then my period came on the 7th day, so I would suggest that you wait a few more days. Good Luck to you

Hi Pinkdot- thanks for the info, are you usually late or varies every month? My cycle is so accurate every month for more than 10 years. It is always 26 or 28 days cycle. Almost like first time in my life that my AF is late :P crossing my fingers now...

Thanks everyone for all the support these few days. So I took a test yesterday night and i see a light pink second line.. don't want to be too happy about it yet and this morning I used a digital test to confirm and it came out PREGNANT.
