Unhappy In need of comfort- lost baby b/c of ectopic pregnancy
Hi all
I am so grateful to be alive and to share my story with all of you today. I almost died this saturday b/c unknown to me I had an ectopic pregnancy ( 6 wk) and I didn't even have the usual pregnancy symptoms. I was rushed to the ER saturday evening around 11pm and sunday morning at 4:00 am I had my right tubes removed during surgery to remove the foetus . Everything went well so I am at home since yesterday afternoon recuperating for about 4 wks. My DF & I we have a 4 yr old DD and we wanted a second child but unfortunately this pregnancy was not viable. I am sad to have lost him or her and I am also so happy to see my wonderful DF & DD & all my wonderful friends. Even though the Dr at the hospital reassured me that I could conceive again with one tube, I just want to hear from you ladies that had similar experiences and were able to do so. I am so scared that it could happen again for my left tubes and this time I won't be able to conceive again. Thx for all the support.

I just want to say I am so very sorry for your loss. Thank good ness you are okay but I know how hard it is to go through a loss.

I don't have personal experience but a very good friend of mine had her right tube removed after her son's birth due to a tumor and she is now pregnant with twins - without any medical help.

My thought and prayers are with you.

I'm very sorry to hear what you've been through. I dont have a child yet and been trying for 2 years this month, but my doctor told me I have a high risk of ectopic pregnancy. I'm really scare- but at this point, I'm willing to try anything to have a baby. Please take care yourself, my thoughts are with you.

Thank u so much for your thoughts and prayers, AuthenticLux, Oonik & Glistenpearls. Right now I am working on getting physically better. Mentally I haven't even grieved yet for my loss but I know that when I do I'll cry like a baby and then wait for the post-surgery visit with my Dr. in 2 wks to see what the future holds for me.

So sorry for your loss I hope it will make you feel better to know that my sister-in-law went through an ectopic pregnancy and tube removal two years ago and conceived their wee daughter naturally within a year. Take care.

I'm so sorry for your loss, that's such a scary situation too.

I just wanted to add, that don't despair if you are wanting other children later on in the future... This exact situation happened to my mom, I'm not sure how far along she was (fairly early on from what I know), but when my older sister was around 7 years old my mom unknowingly became pregnant. It ended up in an ectopic pregnancy that burst the tube, she had to be rushed to the ER, and ended with emergency surgery. She was so thankful to be there for my sister so at the time my parents didn't plan on having any more children.

Lo & behold... when my sister was 12, my mom went into the doctor to get things checked over after having some odd things happen thinking she had a cyst, or was starting early menopause or something, and there I was! She had me at age 38 too! (Which I guess wasn't as common in the early 1980s.) So it definitely is possible!

I hope you recover quickly and sending lots of hugs your way.
