Default low progesterone---anyone else have this issue?

Anyone else have low progesterone and ttc? How did you deal with it, any success?

i was tested on day 22 of my cycle for progesterone and tested extremely low

My doc prescibed progesterone for a withdrawal bleed, because i have extremely irregular periods...

and i will begin my first round of clomid 50 mg this cycle. I understand that I need to take progesterone for the first trimester if i become pregnant.

I am just reaching our for hope, advice and/ or success stories.

I was tested once I found out I was pregnant and my levels were low. I was 6 weeks pregnant and spotting- there was a heartbeat, the baby was 100% healthy, yet I was starting to miscarriage due to my low progesterone levels... The doctor put me on daily progesterone via suppository for my first trimester. It made me extremely tired and very, very nauseous. But it was COMPLETELY worth it- our daughter turned 6 months old last week and could not be more happy and healthy!

I tell everyone who is pregnant/ trying to conceive to have their levels tested- something so simple made all the difference in the world.

Good luck!!

My BFF had low progesterone. She found out because she had two very early miscarriages, maybe a week or two after her missed period, so about 5-6 weeks pregnant. She got a bunch of blood tests, found the low progesterone, and next time she conceived, went on the suppositories. She now has a 3 month old gorgeous baby boy! The progesterone totally did the trick for her too.

I have low progesterone level too, and Dr thought it might be one of the causes of my first m/c, since progesterone is needed to carry the pregnancy to full term. Dr prescribed me prometrium, but using it down south so my brain does not react to them. I'm using twice daily after my IUI.

thanks to all of you guys for your input...i noticed that the majority of you all were using suppositories...was this your choice or your dr's? I am taking a generic for provera ( medroxyprogesterone). is there an advantage one way or the other?
