Infertility Acupuncture

I was wondering if any of you had tried acupuncture to increase fertility. My DH and I have only been TTC since the beginning of this year and wanted to know if this is worth a shot. I have irregular cycles and it seems that acupuncture can help regulate your cycle. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

yes, it actually does work for some people. My husband's sister was trying to get pregnant for about a year. Someone told her about acupuncture, and she tried it and got pregnant 2 weeks later. They said her body was cold, and the acupuncture helps to circulate her blood making the womb warm for fertilization. She had to go everyday for 2 hours/day. But she got pregnant pretty quickly so she was happy. You've been TTC for 6 months already? We've been trying since Nov 2007. I was going to try acupuncture too but wanted to give the natural way a good try first! They do say that it takes a good 6-12 months to concieve. Have you seen a doctor about you irregular cycles? Have you tried the ovulation tests to increase your chances?

Hi there,

I tried accpuncture and became preg. in the first cycle. I am 38 weeks now.

I am not sure if it is 100% related to accpuncture or it just took time.

It is worth to try, but I have to say it is not cheap.

CyberD - That's great news about your SIL! I know we haven't been TTC for too long, but I just wanted to do a little research. I have a doctors appointment coming up, but I just want to avoid taking pills.

VT - Congrats!!! Did you do TCM acupuncture with the herbs of the 5 elements?
