I would do search on the internet for the Shettles method....there is a lot of scientific proof on how to "make a boy" vs "make a girl". My OB/GYN uses his own version in the office by giving vaginal sonograms to track the release of the egg and tells you specifically when to BD depending on the gender you want. He claims to have over 80% effectiveness rate.

DH and I read a Shettles book and it made a lot of sense. This was our first month TTC, so I don't know if I'm pregnant yet, and certainly don't know if making a boy worked for us yet, but we have our fingers crossed...

My mom swears that she and my dad planned for me by drinking/eating citrus/acidic stuff, and for my brother by drinking alkaline beverages.

I eat tons of acidic things so I will let you know if I have a girl lol (I want one and so does his family so lets hope, although healthy is most important)

i have a girl and a boy, so if i get lucky to ever have #3, i think i'll have no preference. although i didn't do the uber girly thing with my daughter, so maybe girl.

Judging from your blue sig ticker, my guess is you got a boy proving Shettler's method wrong, or did you select blue just because?

Aside, I found this on the internet Gender Selection Kit. It's costly but for those of you who really want a specific gender and have money to burn, it may be worth it.

There may be some truth to the acidic thing because indeed my LO is a girl We did mostly BD at the beginning of the cycle too. So you never know there could be something to this whole thing.

I have six girls, no boys. I'm thrilled with the way my family is, and so is DH. Yeah, he must have tons of x's!

Honestly I don't care whether I have a boy or a girl, so long as it's healthy. My sister had twins and one of each, so if I ended up having the same I'd be happy.

^According to that chart, me and three of my friends should be having girls and we're all having boys, and my brother-in-law should have had a boy and they had a girl. It's all a 50-50 chance, right

oh gosh ! tis a hard decision for me.

i'd love a girl because of all the cute clothes (gorgeoussss!) and i already have ideas for her nursery/bedroom

i'd love a boy cos i was the first born in my family and always wishes for a big brother. it'd be great if my first one is a boy plus he can do all the boys stuff with hubby and he'd just love it !

we'll just have to wait and see i guess...
