Did anyone have cramps before getting a Positive?

I've been pregnant before (I have a 4 yr old) but I was wondering if anyone thought they were getting their AF and had cramping and ended up with a postive? I just took a generic test (4 days early) and had the faintest + line within a 5 minute time frame. But I'm also feeling like I could be getting my AF...I'm having horrible mood swings and cramps. Why does PMS have to mimic pregnancy symptoms? SIGH!

I have always had cramps, sometimes very bad ones, before getting a positive and then for a little while after. In general, my symptoms are almost indistinguishable from AF that early on (which is frustrating!) If you got a positive, even a faint one, on an early pregnancy test, it sounds like you are pregnant! Congratulations!

Hey, thanks for replying :) I'm afraid it's an evaporation line...but I will be re-testing tomorrow morning. Keep your fingers and toes crossed! Congrats on your baby!

Well, I'm not pregnant. I took another test (CB) and it came up a faint but distinct positive for 5 minutes...long enough for me to get excited and tell dh....but then it went away!!! This morning I took another and it was a negative*SIGH*. I'm about 5 days from my AF being due. It feels like it's coming. I have to stop taking the tests too early!

Aww sorry about that. But keep trying!! I am supposed to start tomorrow and have had to stop myself a dozen times this weekend from going right out and buying a test. Must wait. LOL!

Yup I sure did! Here´s hoping you get a positive! Don´t test too early though, earliest when your period is due.

I don't understand, how soon after BD did you start getting these cramps?

I don't usually have cramps for PMS but just started TTC and I'm cramping badly ... too early to take a test. Maybe I just ate something wrong?

Chipmunk, I started cramping about 9 days after BD. I usually don't cramp until a few days before my AF is due. But occasionally, it will start earlier for some reason. My OB told me it could be gas!

I'm sorry to hear that! Although if AF isn't due for a couple of days, maybe you just tested too early?

I just got a BFP yesterday, this will be my 3rd pregnancy. I had cramping all three times before and after testing pos. I was supposed to get AF on Thursday but i had some slight spotting on Tuesday with cramps and have been cramping on and off since then. Try testing after AF is due it could be gas, but i am always very gassy early in pregnancy wich adds to the cramps.
