I'm so sorry. This happened to my sister-in-law twice. The first time, she waited for the natural miscarriage, which was too emotional for her. The second time, she opted for D&C to get it over with quicker and move on. The procedure was simple and painless for her. ((((HUGS))))

Thanks everyone!!
I decided to go with the D&C. It was an easier process.
My OB/GYN really got mad at me though for choosing it. I spoke to her on the phone while sitting in the ER. She kept telling me to do it through a medication and i wanted to do D&C. (it was Sat. morning) so she's like..well i cant do it today because you have to schedule one. then she's like, if you want one then ask another doctor to do it, cus i'm not. hung up the phone.
That is sooo mean..its like i'm already going through so much, i dont need your attitude. Anywho..so the ER doctor recommended another OB/GYN who actually recommended the D&C. anywho, he was really nice and informative. Thank god he's covered under our insurance, cuz next time i'll be going to him.

I've been resting since saturday. But was wondering, the girls who had D&C done, how did you guys rest for after the D&C?

pinkdot: glad to hear from you and know that you're doing fine. I guess we have a similiar situation with the OB. I first went to a well-known OB in my area, thought that he might be good. Ended up he did not give us any good advice nor helping me out at all when I had the miscarriage. Most of the time he was asking me to go to ER. I really can't stand him and we find another OB under our insurance group. Thanks God! This OB is so much better and caring!

I rested for a week after my miscarriage, I bleeded for a week, sorry if its *TMI* have cramps the first 3 days and it was just spotting on and off for the rest of the week. After 1 week, my body just got back to normal. However, I am still waiting for my period to come.

First of all, let DH do all the housework

Then take a nice break from work, shop a little, have some good food, read a book, watch a movie, vent all you can. Since I had a laparascope also, I had 4 weeks off. I was able to get up and walk around on day 5. But still let DH do the housework

Take care!

I rested for 2 days after my D&C, then I was up to all my "normal" activities except exercising and BD. I waited for 2 weeks to do participate in those two activities.

I felt fine to exercise within 2 or 3 days but my doctor warned me that it could be dangerous and suggested that I wait at least 2 weeks.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been there, and I know what a tough time this is. Take good care of yourself, and let yourself grieve.
