I'm guessing that most people who choose to, know how to use sex to get the things they want and wouldn't need a radio show to help...
and BTW how is this "true crime" ???

Wow, there is an entire posse of rock n' roll groupies from the 60s/70s that would be in jail right now!

dude, the cops should reset their priorities, no one was being harmed in this. Yeah, its illegal, but really, how much more time could be spent on true crime than consensual sex if prostitution was legalized?? Such a waste! lol

I hear ya ShimmaPuff and you are absolutely right. It's really a filler piece in the paper. I follow baseball so it has a slightly different angle for me.
I totally was surprised that she would expect a stranger to make this swap.
The value would be roughly 4K, Eliot Spitzer would find it a bargain. At that priced she should have thrown in at least a used washer and dryer.

I think it really was where she placed the ad that drew the attention of the police. She did not place this in the adult section of Craigslist, she placed it with the other World Series tickets wanted ads. There is a high probability that she will get off, on grounds of entrapment.

She has really been making out since this first broke.
She talked to XM the following morning, after the arrest. The hosts were trying to get her tickets. Right after that, she was on WIREDFM. a local car dealer donated tickets to her, for game 2. She had her phone turned off that afternoon.

She was on Inside Edition last night. They do not pay for interviews, they do pay for photos and videos. To me it's the same as paying for the interview. John Gosselin recently was "interviewed" by Nancy Grace on Inside Edition. He received $60K for his video/photos.
She went on the Early show this morning, then presented her with tickets to game 4.

She called in to XM again this morning. The hosts were talking about how they got beat to the punch by the other radio station. She was asking if they ever got those tickets they were trying to get.
Even the hosts were saying, what you want to go to every game of the WS?

dallas it got moved to the true crime section. My comments upped the adult content. To be fair to the woman, I thought it was important to talk about this being known to her spouse. Since that interview she has gone to the flirting for cheaper tickets angle.

She was sure taking a chance that she could authenticate the tickets on sight at a bar. I couldn't determine if most purses were fake.

(Sorry for the XM talk. I do not work for, own stock or receive free service. I just listen to it when I am at work. I don't think I have to say where I heard it. I just say heard it on the radio.)

I don't know why this made national news...I don't give a damn about sports but I can't believe it's that unsual for women to trade sex for things they want....maybe not for tickets to sporting events certainly but well ....and I'm not saying it's right or wrong...just that I'm surpised it made national news because I don't think it's unusual behavior for lots of women...

Oh poo. I misread that at first, and thought Jon Gosselin had appeared with her on the Early show and presented her with tickets, and got all excited thinking that Entertainment Something would send a crew with them to the game and do a whole special on it, complete with footage of them up on the Jumbotron KissCams, eating hot dogs and making out, licking mustard off each other, and then follow them into the Fantasy Suite, all decked out in candles and rose petals, and then Jon smiling and putting the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and closing it, and then the next week, she'd get her own Entertainment Something special where she would burst into tears and tell of how she fell madly in love with Jon, but he is so mean to her, but she just can't quit him...

I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time. They just don't all make the news.

LOL, he would so do that if there was enough money.
Sorry about that. I think towards the end of that I got sloppy. I am embarrassed to admit, but it took forever to hunt and peck my way through that post.

This is my first MB and need to learn a lot. I never even said in my opening post my opinion. I was trying to make sure I did not misquote the woman. I tried and tried to figure out how to post the article. Finally gave up and just put the link.

I'll just add it to the list of how the heck did they do that? I'll get it all sorted out eventually. FAQ and Feedback are my main forums.]

Hey, atleast she was upfront about it. Those tickets are worth more than dinner. What irritates me is, I'm sure the 2nd ticket was for her husband. Why didn't he barter himself??
