i wonder what his sentence would be if he had killed her?
god knows the experience this child had, i think she has suffered enough.

Shameful. I am consistently blown away by the frivolous treatment that our courts give rape, sexual abuse of women, and men who profit from prostitution.

She should be rewarded the amount of taxpayer money that she saved us from having to pay to house him in prison the rest of his life. She rid society of a monster.

Had she left him and he tracked her down and killed her, I'd be willing to bet that his sentence would have been lighter than this - after all, she was "just a prostitute."

This makes me recall watching a show which talked about female self defense. This lady said if you caught the molester you have to attack him on the spot. If you let him go and find him just to assault him later then you are in the wrong. I guess this is what the judge meant by "well-thought-out". The raping and killing becomes 2 separate issues. But personally I think she should be given a chance.

It sounds like she didn't have adequate legal counsel on her trial, with such a stiff sentence for killing a man who'd abused her horrifically for years. Poor girl.
