I think TPF messes with your perception of reality sometimes, and you need to take a step back a reevaluate your spending... haha I sound like an accountant, sad that my major shows through even on tpf.

But with all of that said I have an asher on the way, and just bought a new wallet for a steal on ebay. I try and not make impulse buys so I can enjoy my bags vs feel guilty. I also have friends and family that keep me grounded.
Totally got your point! I also agree, if I could stay away from TPF, that would definitely save me a lot of money! However I don't really make impulse buy now, I only buy them when I really like them and with good deals.

Lately I got myself a brand new Treesje Avery for around $170, another LP Samantha for $179, a Hayden Harnett Clutch Wallet for $68, and a Jenny Yuen Sherlock for $200. These sum up to $617, average price of one mid-range retail price bag. If I must make an accusation of myself, I can only admit that I'm no good at resisting good deals!

You know what, that is my issue too! I cant bring myself to pay full price because I've gotten HEAVY discounts so many times before that I feel like I can wait. The reason why it sucks sometimes is because I'm scared it'll sell out and I won't be able to get it anymore.

I know what you mean. I have never ever paid retail for any designer bag...

The only thing I *MAY consider paying full price for is 3 bags: Chanel, Gucci and Balenciaga. Just because my mom has owned chanel for years, and its unbelievable how timeless they are and how long they last, my friend owns Gucci but after 5 years, it's done and Balenciaga is another timeless bag. It's still in style for soooo long and the leather is AMAZING...plus the hardware, havent seen anything like it!

I just found this thread! I'm very excited about the Treesje sub-forum and I have been looking for a new home sub-forum myself. I used to be in the Coach and RM sub-forums, but after some really bad customer service issues, I'm no longer buying either brand right now. I love the girls in the Tano sub-forum, but I really only like one Tano bag style (Boogie Bucket) and I go back and forth about whether or not I like the crunch leather that most of the Tano bags were made with.

But I fell in love with the Treesje styles that I saw on the threads in the general handbags sub-forum and I'm so excited about being able to get lots of information about Treesje.

I only rarely ever pay full price. I pay full price for new LV -- they do not have sales and I am very leary buying from resellers, even though I have found some amazing discontinued styles. Also, if I really, really want a particular bag in a particular color and I am convinced that it will sell out, then I will pay full price if I can't find it on sale or get it with a coupon code somewhere. Otherwise, I wait and hope that I can find the bag somewhere on sale in the future.

I'm with you on that! By the way, I was in Tano Subforums too because of the boogie but now because of my new bags, I never ever use my boogie anymore. I'm actually thinking about selling mine..

Hi lvdreamer! I made a similar journey. I used to like Coach a long time ago, before the sig bags became the rage. I came to TPF for MJ, then I bumped into RM...got a few of those...sold them all. I still like MJ--mostly the classic bags, as I'm not fond of most of the newer bags. And I like HH bags, not all, but a handful of the styles. The prices and sales are great. I also like MK, especially the Michael line--great bags at super decent prices. I find that I like every Miu Miu bag I've seen, but I don't own any because they're out of my budget at the moment, and I honestly can't bring myself to spend that much on a bag.

grkbella: Is the Magnolia impossible to find? Every single place I checked doesn't have them?

The only thing I have seen selling magnolia's is black patent magnolia somewhere, other than that, yup its impossible at this point unless someone puts it up on Ebay or Bonanzle. By so many people requesting it, they are bring back the magnolia for the Fall Collection in all the colors mentioned in the Magnolia Threads.

So right now Treesje is not making them?
Why would they not include this bag, which so many people like? WTF?

They made it a previous season, and now that there is so much hype in the forums about Treesje, and everyone went gaga over aznakat's creme magnolia, the designers saw everyone wanting the magnolia so much that they decided to reintroduce it in the fall collection.

If you don't use your Boogie, then you should sell it. Then you can use the money towards your next Treesje bag!

I have two Boogies -- pool and grape. I love the colors and the styles, but I don't like how the colors fade as you use the bags. I know that you can brighten the bag up by putting lotion and conditioner on them, but I just can't bring myself to do that. I have lots of other leather bags, older ones even, and their color is perfectly fine and is not fading even though I don't use leather conditioner. But I know that part of the crunch leather look is the fading, so maybe I just don't like crunch after all. I still use my Boogies because they are basically my only shoulder bags. But I usually use satchels and not shoulder bags and so my Boogies really don't get used all that often.

I'm with you on everything you said...I own the grape. I got it cos the color looked great and its the perfect shoulder bag really, it never falls off the shoulder. But you get bored with it, especially after having Treesje bags which is way more trendier and cuter, and brighter in colors as well. Plus Ive only used the boogie for a month or two...and the way it fades, I'm not crazy about it. It just looks like it gets used rather than the vintage look so after all I'm not a fan of crunch leather. I think that's why their upcoming collection in fall eliminates alot of crunch leather.

Hi karmenzsofia! I used to like Coach bags a lot -- the soft, thick leathers and the classic styles, but I feel like Coach has started making lots of trendy styles with thin leathers that I don't care for and the prices just keep getting higher and higher. But, I do still like some Coach bags. Now, RM ... I liked the classic, simple looks of her bags, but her customer service leaves much to be desired and I've gotten rid of most of my RM bags. I just have a few -- a MAB, three MAMs, and an Elisha. I've never really been into MJ, but I like some of the styles. Same goes for MK, HH, or Miu Miu. However, I'm a huge LV fan and I collect the various colors that the Epi leather styles come in. My LV Epi bags have been through hell and back and they still look amazing. Yes, they're expensive, but I've always found that they were worth the money that I spent on them.

I also love the classic Hermes styles -- particularly the Kelly and the Bolide. But I can't imagine spending over 5K for a single bag. When I think about it, I start thinking about all of the different bags that I could get for 5K. However, if I win the lottery, all bets are off...

Hey, y'all. I have got to say that I am so happy to 1) have a Treesje subforum and 2) to find that everyone here is so sweet. What a breath of fresh air.
