Me too! I have been hanging out in the RM forum for a while...but I am planting myself here now. I really want to see this forum flourish and have been trying my best to foster conversation and new threads to make that happen...I really love these bags and don't want them to take away our new "home."

Exactly! I was new to the purse forum in the fall, and I was looking for new bags and ideas. I was in Tano subforum for a while then a little bit in linea pelle but didn't like so much...then I discovered Treesje and fell in love! And then I wanted a subforum so bad so I started the feedback thread and pmed all of you girls to get the talking to get going and all of you guys made it happen from there! This is a home I can definitely be happy about and stay in!

That's so nice to hear. I was into Treesje before I got addicted to RM. Now what worries me is that this Treesje subforum is gonna be BAD for my wallet.

grkbella03: I bought myself 9 RM bags in less than 2 months. Now I have 3 Treesje bags and am waiting for a good deal on the Divino Berry Luxe, yep, I once asked you about this bag, but I've decided to get the Berry color since I own way too many black bags.

Seriously, my mom is gonna disown me if she finds out my craze for handbags continues! The funny part is, I am already in my mid-30's, married and with kid. I have a career and I buy handbags with my own money, so I really don't understand why my mom keeps bugging me about it. I can only blame it on cultural difference I guess.

GEEZ! That's a WHOLE lotta bags! I try not to buy too many because I want to be able to wear my bags often, you know? There is a RM Bag, the studded devote bag, and I WANT IT SO BAD! I have to save up first...my mom gets mad because I'm 23, in college and I make enough money but I have to save up as much as I can because I bought my first real estate last year, and there's taxes, mortgage and money to save up for a house for few years down the road. I keep thinking in my head, what's a couple hundred more? But it adds up I guess...blah!

Oh and by the way, the berry looks delish!

This thread needs to be a sticky....

I have a feeling this forum will flourish in the future. We just need to be patient! In the meantime, enjoy your beautiful bags! I hope Treesje will have a SS in the future!!

This forum will definitely grow, xlana!

Hopefully this forum can also help the brand to grow, because whether or not Treesje realizes it, tPF does play a part in the handbag market...and having a dedicated forum for their brand will not only help us as consumers, but will really help them as retailers.

When I started the "Ask Laura and Sheila your questions here" thread, I sent them a PM to let them know exactly for this reason. This forum is a great tool for both of us (buyers and designers) and I wanted to let them know that their participation is an integral part of helping the Treesje brand flourish!

Yup and they know it too! When I started up the feedback thread, I emailed Laura and told her what was going on. Because of this, Sheila then signed up and I would keep Laura updated on what was going on. That's how I was able to post pictures from their spring line preview for you guys and because of this, it grew like crazy! All you girls got so involved, Im so proud of you guys!

mmmm I can't wait for a treesje SS... need to save up money!!
I definitely splurged all my money on Treesje in Dec, it really hurt in Jan! LoL

I used to hang out in RM, Belen Echandia, and the Handbags parts of the forum because my two favorite brands Ferragamo and Treesje had no home, till NOW! One out of two ain't bad
I do love Belen Echandia as well but the price point hurts my pocket.
It's easier to find good deals on Treejse and the designs are fabulous!

Thanks girls for working so hard to get us a subforum!

I think culture has little to do with it, my friend. Nine bags in less than two months, and three others is somewhat normal on TPF (some buy fewer, others buy more), but not on The Earth Forum where there rest of humankind resides. KWIM?

My guess is that she would prefer to see you saving money for yourself and your kid rather than spending it on bags. I can't blame her, I mean, it makes sense. That's the sensible, practical, logical thing to do--attributes that aren't much of a priority over here, where people buy a ton of bags just for the hek of it or because, as they themselves claim, of a bag/shop addiction.

There's TEF, and then there's TPF

Good point! I could have saved all these money for my kid or myself. This habit of buying handbags is my joy of life really. I have regular savings/investments on a monthly basis, and I hate paying interests so I've never gotten into credit card debt. Besides, I got all of my latest handbags with really good deals(at least 50% off retail price). No matter how much I love a handbag, I can always wait for an upcoming sale instead of paying full retail price.

In fact it looks like I'm a bit over the fence to have purchased so many handbags in such a short period of time, but in fact I don't have other major expensives, I don't buy expensive clothes, nor shoes, I do my own nails most of the time. I just enjoy spending money on handbags! Maybe I am sick, but that's what makes me happy you know!?

I'm having the same dilemma. Technically I can afford these purses without going into credit card debt, but I know I should be saving $$ for the future (I'm 22 and going to graduate in May). I've bought 3 RMs (1 nikki, 1 mam, and 1 MAC) and got a mini nikki as a bday present all since June. Which to me is a lot since I used to buy 1 purse a year. I think TPF messes with your perception of reality sometimes, and you need to take a step back a reevaluate your spending... haha I sound like an accountant, sad that my major shows through even on tpf.

But with all of that said I have an asher on the way, and just bought a new wallet for a steal on ebay. I try and not make impulse buys so I can enjoy my bags vs feel guilty. I also have friends and family that keep me grounded.

It's all relative, my friend. What's sick to one person is divine to another...
Hek, at least you're not paying full retail prices.
