I won't be able to attend the meet, but... I love Vegas hotels! And I agree the Wynn Hotel is the best. I also think Bellagio is good too. Have fun you guys!

I am currently looking for a bar to rent out, things arent going so good though, but Im not giving up yet. Of course we will go shopping then probably grab a bite to eat at a nice restaurant, there are plenty of those on the strip!

PLEASE READ: One of my best friends work for the marketing dept. for The Plaza hotel downtown(Fremont Street Experience), we are in the works of having them host the meet at their lounge(hopefully it comes through). My question is, who would be up to stay downtown? The rooms at the Plaza are MUCH cheaper(around $50.00), they are clean, and you would be staying in the hotel where the meet would be. I think if we can get some people to stay there, it would give them more incentive to host the meet.

Here is the link so you can check out the rooms...

its definitely not the Wynn, but for those of you who would like to save some $$, its a better option than Motel 6. It really isnt bad though, I promise! I've been in the rooms and whenever I have friends come into town, I hook them up with a room there and I havent heard any complaints.

I say stay on the strip near the shopping. JMHO...I've stayed at the Mirage and the Venitian. Both were nice. Venitian is kind of expensive, tho. The Flamingo is in a good location as well and usually has good deals. Luxor is too far down the strip.

It is gonna be hot and sometimes taxis won't come and get you if you are off the strip. We stayed at a hotel on Paradise once and almost missed the Beatles Love show because no taxis would come there. It was only about a mile from the strip, too and a really nice hotel!

THat's a tough one.

Wynn is across from the shopping mall, but quite a walk to Venetian/Caesars Forum Shops/Bellegio shopping.

Hmmmmm

I apologize if someone already posted the same comment, I haven't had a chance to read all of them.

I think I'm voting Bellagio.

If this is still open, let me chime in with this: Aug. is HOT and I just got back from there 3 weeks ago. I stayed at the Bellagio (Hermes was a must!) and walked to the Wynn to check it out. Yes, it is beautiful, but the walk almost killed me. 110 degrees and 6 blocks. I don't know off the top of my head if H will be open by next Aug. at the Wynn, but the bulk of shopping will probably be done between Bellagio and Caesars, which is across the stree from each other. Just my 2 cents....See y'all there!

I voted Wynn cos it's just such a terrific, clean, gorgeous place to stay.

I think the Venetian has the best shopping, tho, as far as strip hotels are concerned.
