MJ DC area get-together with special appearance from fellow member of the West coast!

Hi all!

So, MJSuperfan will be in DC area from July 16 till July 21st

so I thought it would be nice to have a meet up since we've never really met each other in person. MJSuperfan will be available to meet on July 20th so I would like to find out who else would be available to meet up!

Date: July 20th 2008 Sunday
Time: 11.30am
Venue: Penang in Bethesda, MD?

So the initial plan would be to do brunch on Sunday at Penang, a Malaysian restaurant (I'm from Malaysia and I'm craving for some good ol' Malaysian food!

) out in Bethesda, MD and then proceed from there to Chevy Chase to have some retail therapy? I'm suggesting the Malaysian restaurant as I think most people haven't really had Malaysian food and that particular restaurant/branch serves some really good authentic dishes.

How does that sound to everyone?

Yay! Good to know that you can make it, Laureen.

I don't drive either and the restaurant is a little hike from the Metro but I'm thinking maybe one of the fellow members who drive can give us a ride from the Metro station? Otherwise, we can definitely meet at the Metro and walk there together.

Sounds fun! Thanks for the invite. I've enjoyed the Panang downtown, though it's
probably not as authentic as this place, which I've been meaning to try.

We have Lion King tickets for my daughter that Sunday or the next Sunday, I'll have to check. Hope I can make it. :)
