IntlSet: I think that you may have had the 505 N. Michigan store confused with the one near Tribune tower at 444 N. Michigan. You are right, the 444 location is really small and would not have worked!

After speaking with managers at both stores, I have learned that both locations are busy on Saturday mornings. However, once we get a head count, there is a possibility that they may be able to make some space for us. Typically they don't take reservations.

If it's OK, I'm going to make an executive decision and select the 505 N. Michigan Ave. location. It is 2400 square feet and is the largest Chicagoland store. We will have plenty of room in the event that a lot of people are able to make it to Chicago. This location will allow us to shop our way north up Michigan Avenue, take a left on Oak and hit the stores there too (Hermes, Barneys, etc.).

Our meet will be held on May 3rd (in the morning, time to be determined) at the large Starbucks located at: 505 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611.

Now we just need to choose a time and spread the word!

Really, only 35 people huh? I thought it looked bigger than that ... makes no difference to me tho! Yes, Thank You for doing all the leg work I am hoping to be there and meet everyone

I didn't go in, I just talked to the assistant manager (she counted chairs while I was on the phone). The other manager knew the number off the top of his head. I hope the big location will work for everyone. I don't mind doing the legwork at all! If need be, I can go tomorrow and double check the Oak & Rush location (I will be downtown already). Let me know if people really want the Oak/Rush location and I will go down there.

In the meantime, spead the word!

Chi town Chanel, either location is fine with me--thanks for the work so far.

I'm putting May 3 on my calendar.

I'm sure the reason you're not seeing many people respond is because they don't think to look in the meeting forum. There is another Chicago meeting thread in the LV forum, under the Meetings forum (too many meetings forums, it's confusing).

Chicago LV Meet

I have added a post to that thread with a link to this one.

Sorry, it is hilarious that we might have to make reservations at a Starbucks!

Once again, I'll have to decide closer to then if I can attend or not, but I will keep checking this thread closer to the date.

My DH thinks that it is great. We have not lived in Chicago for very long and I work from home mostly, so he thinks that it is a good way to make friends and meet new people. However, he is worried about us shopping in a "pack" and getting overly excited and spending a lot!
