DH was just informed of the upcoming trip to CLT for TPF. I thought he would have a fit. (He will be out of town too.) He didn't say anything. Hmmmm. He must know by now that this is a battle not to be fought.

holy crap.

if i knew it would make it here in one piece, i would sooo be getting a box. (wow,they have a 140 piece box?

)

i think i'm drooling a little. i can't find white chocolate ANYWHERE around here.

Don't worry about the chocolate arriving intact. They pack their chocolates in a styrofoam insulated boxes filled with sealed ice packs. I've gotten three different shipments in 100 degree heat the past three weeks and they were all fine!!

A few years ago, before they upped their packing standards, I did get a shipment with two of the bigger collection boxes during the summer sale that had been on the truck for too long. Half of one box was semi melted and the other had a few pieces in the corners melted. I called customer service. They sent a replacement order and said to keep the partly melted order. Hey, I'm not picky! I'll take free Godivas even if they are a bit melted together!! What a steal that was!!

That's what I love about Godivas. They are so rich that I don't eat more than one or two a day at the very most. With cheap chocolates it's too easy to eat a ton at at time, so I only keep the good stuff in the house.

For an added measure of imposed self-control, I always store the overflow in the freezer. Makes impulse eating very difficult when you risk breaking a tooth eating a frozen truffle!

So, there is a Godiva store in the SouthPark Mall???? If so, why have I never seen it! I can't believe we never stopped there.
