I would have to say my favorite summer food is a nice juicy, ripe, tomato and/or a green tomato off the vine.. The tomatoes you find in the stores in Winter tend to be hard and not a vibrant red. The tomatoes of summer are softer, vibrant red, and delicious. I live in the South, so a green tomato straight from the vine and later fried, is not bad either!!
