Miss Heller my 7th grade teacher, she made us more aware of the history of our own country. I remember being shocked to hear about the Japanese Americans in World War 2 being sent to 'relocation camps'. From then, on I was much more aware of our history and how we can hopefully learn from our past. She always gave us hope that we as American's can have more empathy to each other, while protecting ourselves and others.

Dear Ladies, I have many many teachers to thank to but the most important one was my mother. She worked as an elementary teacher for 30 years teaching low income kids how to read and write. She taught me the importance of honesty, hard work, and I became a teacher myself because I wanted to follow on her footsteps. Thanks so much for doing this. Teachers are not always recognized the way they should. You have made my year.

Mrs Grego was my most influential teacher - she taught me french in high school and believed in me so much, when I didn't see it myself. She was such an amazing teacher - she made french lessons so exciting and fun - i remember one time we were learning about musical instruments and she started singing 'the piano man' song in french with the actions and everything and we all just fell about laughing. When I talked to her about my dreams and ambitions, she never laughed but talked about how i could achieve anything I wanted, if I just tried.
I still think of her to this day, and often wonder how she is doing. She always had a hard home life as one of her daughters was mentally ill, but she was such a positive person, and i love her for bringing so much positivity to so many people. x

I think my most influential teacher was in College when I studied Early Childhood Education. Her name was Margaret Kidd and she had a no nonsense way of presenting the imformation she taught. But she was warm and loving and she made every student she taught believe that he/she could learn.

My most influential teacher was my 6th grade Science teacher, Mr. Yarema. He was one of a very few lay people teaching at my Catholic school...the rest were nuns. Although I didn't easily understand science, he took the time to include me in extra special projects..including helping skin & dissect a tiny shark. I assure you that helped peak my interest in science. I was also in Glee club at the time and had the privilege of singing at his wedding at the church attached to our school. He had specifically requested us to sing for him. So, Mr. Yarema left a wonderful, indelible impression on me.

Mrs. Wiegel was the best. She taught me how to speak in public, she nurtured my writing, and she made sure we went to high school knowing all our grammar. We diagrammed sentences until they were coming out of our ears. We even diagrammed "The Star Spangled Banner"!

I would have to say my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Aarons. Many reasons why, but mostly for his sense of humor and ability to make each student feel special and cared for. He was tough, but we had so much fun in his class. I still think about him and it's been eons!

My most influential teacher was Mrs. Oppliger. She taught me about the importance, relevance, and modernity of history.

The teacher that inspired me to become a teacher myself, was my second grade teacher. She was always patient and this positive quality rubbed off on all of her students. Rather than responding with anger, she'd respond with understanding and patience. I try to approach students with the same patience and understanding.

I have had many teachers that have influenced me. My mum works for the government so Ive moved around 8x in 16 years, very hard for a teenager especially. My last teacher gave me very sound advice on how its shaped me as a person and how it makes me me, all the moving, sadness and renewal of confidence. I just want to thank her very much, as right now its moving me to tears again :) Just a wonderful person

The most influential teacher in my life would have to be my high school debate coach Mr. C. He was the coolest man alive and would travel with us all over the country to attend debate tournaments. Those events and years were probably the best years of my educational career. He invested lots of money in our debate squad to help us excel in public speaking. We'd be on the road every other weekend attending debate invitationals up and down the coast of our state. We gained valuable skills and amazing memories. Most importantly he sacrificed his precious time to help us become ranked as one of the top ten high school debate teams in the country.

My thesis adviser in college. He is so relaxed, so understanding, non-judgmental, and a model for my life. He married my husband and I and everyday I am thankful he was a part of our special day.

Ms. Estabrook my nursery school teacher. Her storytimes were so amazing I used to sneak into her class to try to hear more of her stories even after "graduating" up into the 'senior' room. She inspired my love of books, and my carreer as an early childhood educator.

My year 8 English teacher. Whom needed me, she was goign through a troubled divorce to a cheater, and i helped her through it. Since then we have become good friends.

Another one would be My 4th grade teacher, she taught us French (even though she didnt have to) and sparked my first talent to learn languages, unfortunately i haven't developed those talents very far but i hope to in the near future. Without her i wouldn't have my dream to visit Paris, which is yet to be fulfilled,

Probably my two science teachers Mr Topham and Mr Robson... they didn't inspire me as such but they were the nicest possible people you could know... they were like father figures, ya know?
