That's nuts...it costs only $7.50 to send a Zucca from Arizona to Hawaii via Priority Mail in a box!!! Doesn't the mailman pick up her mail every day? You get a Priority Mail box for FREE at the post office and then hand it to the mailman...not too difficult.

That really sucks. I kind of hate things like this... people do it on eBay, too. I bought a bag a week or so ago, and got charged $15 shipping - but the stamp on the package I got only said $8-something. I didn't do anything about it... but whenever I go to the post office to mail something away, it's usually only between $4 to $6~

lol that drives me nuts when people say they can't get to the post office to ship something. maybe if it's big and they don't know how much it weighs, but since you can print postage now and request carrier pickup, i don't see how hard it can be..

yeah. cause i know there are online calculators you can check the weight + cost.

You do need an accurate scale though. Luckily we have a postage scale at work so I can calculate postage by weight and generate the labels online.

Without a scale, it would require a trip to the post office.

What I don't understand is how you can receive the bag before even fully paying for it...? Did I just not read thoroughly enough...?

And what the hell is that, charging after the fact?? I'd be like, "you made the mistake - so tough!!"

what the hell! i can get shipping for $12 if it is by first class and something light like a ciao ciao (thats what i paid for my foresta ciao ciao, though takes aaaages to arrive), but express or priority is about $30, and i am in europe.. How can they charge you that when you are in the US just because you are not mainland? i think that they are making money from you and pretending it is shipping as that cannot be right!

I would keep the bag and dispute the hell out of that!! She can't charge you after the transactions been completed!! Helloooooooo... What kind of business owner is she?? It's not your fault it ended up costing her more and it's not your fault she shipped the bag before giving you the "final" total. Tough for her!! If it was a bag I really liked and wanted, I'd fight her.

wwwwaaaaaaaiiitttt a minute here. so she charged your card for the bag, then did a separate transaction for the 'shipping?!!!! that sounds REALLY shady to me. ... like shes trying to make an extra $20 off you for 'shipping' shady. I have had stuff sent to me from HI and I have sent stuff to HI, there is absolutely no way that a tokidoki bag costs $30 to ship... they are so light and unless you bought like 20 bags then they shouldn't be a big box or any significant weight over 2lbs or so.

what I would do is sit tight until I get the bag, and if you like it enough to keep it, dispute the paypal charge via paypal or do a chargeback via paypal or your CC. I would try to go to the mail carrier she used to send the bag to you and find out how much she actually paid to ship - I highly doubt it was $30 or she is an idiot... I dunnos if they can show that if it's a preprinted slip but you can always try... and use that evidence for filing the dispute.

she actually sent me the receipt and it does say its 30. but what the hell!? it was just normal shipping!! i don't understand why it's 30 bucks. but the point is, she told me 10 and then sent it for 30 and didn't double check with me before she sent it that it was 30 and made sure i still wanted it.
