I'm glad the photos were helpful. I don't use the Corriere that much as it is a bit big for an everyday bag for me. But for outtings where I need to carry around stuff for me and my kids it is great. I usually like to keep water, snacks, etc. with me when we are out for the day. When I want to carry more I also have a Ciao Ciao that I use. I hook the strap on the top holes and it is like a tote bag and holds tons, but is a bit bulky. Overall I'm really happy with the Corriere and I love the print placement on the back of the bag and I love pink also!

Post Re: tokidoki for plus-sized people

i just wanted to report back that i received my women's XL sandy/bastardino/polpettina hoody, and it fits like a glove. it's also extremely flattering for the curves. it's definitely cut for a woman, and i swear - it hides my tummy! (i'm a 14/16, for reference - more of an 18 during the holidays, let's be honest!) the lightweight fabric is just wonderful, too. heavy hoodies make me sweat horribly.

i'm loving the gatto spinoso shirt, though, and am disappointed to hear that the shirts run very small. on metropark, though, it says the shirts run true to size, with an XL=16/18. hmmm. if their return policy is good, perhaps i'll just order it and report back for everyone.

Congrats Bella! I'll definitely have to look into the hoodie then. I've been chasing that storm hoodie all over the 'net!

Well, if it helps with the hoodies, I'm not small either, like...I dunno...a size 10-12 (because of the boobs -__-) and I bought the short sleeved hoodie in L, and it's a bit big, except on the boobs, where's it's pretty normal. That hoodie seems a little...looser than the rest. JapanLA had some, if anyone is interested.

And I'm glad to hear the Ciao Ciao has such long straps! I didn't get the messenger bags because as someone said before, they really do cut your boobs and it looks terrible. XD But if the straps on the Ciao ciao are long, that shouldn't be a problem...

(reviving my favorite thread!)

for those who wear the men's t-shirts - are they really long? i'm eyeing some shirts over at tobi.com, but i'm pretty short (5'3"), and wonder if i'll need to shorten them.

hmmmm...I think the tees only run "true to size" for junior-size girls who like their tee shirts skin tight. The chest on an XL tee is only 36", compared to 42" on an XL hoody. I'm about 120 lbs, 36B, and I normally wear a women's 8, but all my toki tees are XL and I can't even put them in the dryer because they would be way too tight.

I ordered XL hoodies thinking the sizing would be the same as the tees, but the XL hoodies are waaaaay bigger, they're huge on me. I'd say the XL tees would be equivalent in size to the medium hoodies.

my gatto spinoso shirt arrived, and i think you're right, Eejit. the shirt is skin tight on me, but the print on the front didn't stretch or look weird (i'm a size 14/16, 38C). i tried it on without wearing pants (yeah, i'm weird, but it was 90 degrees that day), and it was obvious that if i attempted to wear it with jeans, the shirt would emphasize all the bumps and seams in the denim.

Uhmm...

I wear a size L sometimes LX in tops.
I'm a rather bosomy and curvaceous girl (Being Latina and All), so toki-wear worried me... until I visited MetroPark here in SF and tried on the toki-goodies :)

The shirts are a definite no. LX is tight around the girls
But the Latte hoddie I bought at Virgin is a size L and it fits just fine, maybe a little big if worn alone

Just M.O.

I just wanted to give you plus-sized Toki-lovers a tip: I was browsing on Etsy.com today and found an xl/1x sized Toki tee or sweater for sale in the new '80s print. However, the seller doesn't mention Tokidoki anywhere in the listing, so good luck searching for it. Hint: try the term "kawaii".

I hope this comment doesn't break forum rules somehow. If so, sorry!

i'm a 14/16 (c cups) at 5'6" and have a few tokidoki Mens tshirt in a medium. i think they fit just perfectly! not too tight and not too big.. i'm always afraid of it sticking to my belly but it gives it just enough room so i dont have to suck in hehe.. but you kinda gotta stretch it out after it comes out of the dryer just cuz it clings like crazy.

As far as length goes, I think it's just right. i hate shirts that are too long and this falls maybe an inch or two below my hips, which isn't really bad. the sleeves will be a bit longer, but you can always fold them over. hope that helps :)

I love the men's shirts. I'm a size 5-6 but my chest makes it hard for me to fit into small tops.. in my experience the tokidoki mens small shirts tend to run a bit larger than women's medium shirts. They're longer and roomier.

I haven't seem them in department stores but the online shops (Tobi, Metropark, Karmaloop, etc) have them and so do a good portion of the designer vinyl toy stores.

As far as purses go, the bambione has longer straps.
