you kno I've been doing reading and it says that "inspired" bags are allowed as long as they don't use certain signature elements of the original designer say like the actual name. But aren't simone's characters copyrighted? Even if they change the color the drawings are the same and should be considered "signature" because even if you remove the words "tokidoki for lesportsac" you still have his signature characters right?

That's what I'd think. I mean, otherwise what if they didn't even say "tokidoki for lesportsac" to begin with...then you could make an exact copy and it's OK?

Well most of the fakes use the LeSportSac tape along the zipper so that make them illegal right there.

agreed... but I looked at all her bags and they don't have any labels aside from the fake ones. I still think simone's characters are copyrighted tho so she shouldn't act so ignorant
But yeah, you know I was reading an article about how all fake bags are made in sweatshops... that's why they're so cheap because you have people and little kids working to death at a couple cents a day or even month! I think that's why I hate fake bags more so than anything |

i saw one from the same seller before. i started laughing, its from Santee,CA! That's like this huge discount fashion district, big kind of fleamarket...hard to explain. But its a place where they do sell a lot of fakes (purses, sunglasses, etc.) and cheap clothing and dresses.

i reported all her auctions, and emailed the buyers too, letting them know that they were fakes in case they didn't know. one responded thanking me and withdrew her bid. |
