I'd call that burgundy, not purple. There is more red and no blue in it. Maybe you can pour a glass and ponder on this for a bit.

Okay, that's nice that you all like the colour. But what colour is it in your eyes? Does the colour tends more to purple, to wine red or to claret violet? I am really interested how you would call or describe it? Because I myself have so much problems in doing so.
The only thing I can say indoors the colour really looks dark. That's perhaps the reason why my brother tended to purple, because he visited me on a cloudy day. But the colour often looks quite different depending on how the light falls on it.

That's a good idea. I should have better placed glasses with different red wines next to the bag to take the pictures. But joking aside. I really appreciate your thoughts on the colour. Many thanks for that!

On the one hand, I think you're right. There is definitely more red than blue. On the other hand, I think the colour looks almost exactly like this where some blue is mentioned. Or is it closer to this colour with a nuance more red? I still find it quite difficult to describe colours clearly (even more so in a foreign language).
