TOD's has released a new coated-canvas bag for the fall. I have been salivating over the east-west, coated-canvas G-Bag, but it's not available in the U.S. Its U.S. counterpart seems to be the Shopping Grande G-Bag. I'm a bit disappointed, as this bag lacks the clean lines of the east-west G-Bag. Almost seems like a cross between a Restyling-D and G-Bag Sacca Grande (the one so many of us have and love). Still, I'm willing to give it a chance. (It can be so difficult to judge these bags through photos.) I really want a large east-west, coated-canvas (to guard against rain and snow) option for the fall, and this bag's dimensions are supposed to be about 17.5" x 11" x 6".

I quite like this style as well and I particularly love this color! Great neutral! But I do agree that you really need to see and try the bag IRL to know if you truly love it.

I received this picture from my SA as well. I think the bag looks really cute but need to see it IRL. I hope it fits on the shoulder ok.

I was told that the retail price is $995. The measurements I was given are 15.75 x 9.06 x7.00........?

Wow this east west looks great! I tried on a G bag grande at the store the other day and didn't really like how it flops against the body, the bottom heaviness of the bag just doesn't work for my bottom heavy figure haha!!!!!

But this east west seems to have a little more structure, and the colour is both neutral and sophisticated. Am going to get myself on the wait list!

I was thinking of replacing my Restyled Pashmy d bag with a G-Bag, THIS IS PERFECT!!! It is a cross betweeen my 2 favorite bags! I will certainly be getting the black!

I hope I find one in the UK next month so I can take advantage of the exchange rates and no VAT!!!

This is a very nice bag, but I did not see here in Europe. Actually, the F/W 09 collection hit the Tod's shops (in Brussels and Amsterdam) and they are offering a huge selection of G-bags (both leather and coated canvas) in many different colors, but the Shopping is not available.

It will be hard to choose a color for fall, though... I am definitely getting another G-bag, but most of them are so nice that to pick up only one is going to be difficult :-0

I want another one too but I think I will get Black or Charcoal since I will be replacing my Black restyled Pahsmy d bag with the G-bag.

dierregi, what are the FW09 colors you have seen here in Europe?

Does anyone know what is the color of the first shopper picture posted? Looks like a beige grey, very neutral. Beautiful!

They have done a good job w/the colors, haven't they? Know what you mean about the difficulty in choosing a single color! Let us know what you decide.

Gemi, I've heard from my SA in the U.S. that they'll be available in all the same colors as the north-south G-Bags. (Don't know about available colors in Europe. Maybe dierregi will have more info.) You might want to take a look at this thread for colors:

Insofar as the first photo, I don't think it's actually an available color. I think it's likely a b & w photo taken of an argilla (gray) bag, but that's just speculation on my part.

Has anyone seen modeling pix of this bag? I haven't had success w/uploading the modeling photo I've seen, but the bag is large; might be too large for some––at app. 17.5" or 18" wide and app. 11" tall.

gemibebe, I saw pretty much all the colors shown in your great pictures, in this thread http://forum.purseblog.com/tods/tods...-g-477663.html, plus dark brown and red (coated canvas), with dark brown leather details (contrast with the red and same tone with the brown).

Looks like the G-bag is going to be huge next season.

I really like the blue (both leather and canvas) and dark brown, but I'll see once I am in Italy.
