I don't know if all Tod's shoes are lined, though. Anyway, the cream colored ones just feel cheap and don't have the logo in the heel on the insole like the others.
Boxermom, they look authentic, they may just be a much older model.

That's interesting. They may have been stored in the desert, they are so stiff! I've tried to break them in, but the others are so much more comfortable that I head for the drivers and the ballet flats when we go out.

Here ya go :)

Tod's was my first designer crush, back when I was still in high school.
Always loved their classic lines and the superior craftsmanship.

Kbalag, I love your D-bags, especially the cognac one
Diereggi, I think your black patent ones are a pair that I was thinking about getting last year but I wavered too long and then they were gone...they're kinda like the pair that got away for me

kat4 I love your cognac flats, in suede and ... it looks like lizard. I just love that look and the different types of leather

It's awesome I can do my 1,000th post in the Tod's forum with the bags I love best!

I fell hard for this style in 2006, bought 3 that year !

Style name: Tod's Decoupage
A similar style without a shoulder strap and a little more "squat" in shape also came in white leather, denim w/ moc croc pocket (not very attractive, IMO!), black patent, possible more colors.

Season: Spring/Summer 2006
  • Medium size green leather with detachable strap, matte gold hardware
  • Large black leather with detachable strap, silver hardware
  • Black satin convertible clutch (detachable silver chain not shown) made of satin, Tejus lizard and two large swarovski crystals!

I rotate them with two Mikys I have - black and burnt orange, and will post photos of them at some point. I wish they didn't discontinue the decoupage...nothing has had the same appeal for me since!

I have a TOD's Lookbook of spring/summer 2006, where the "Decoupage Shopping Bag" is in. But there are shown only two small ones in yellow and in white with denim. It isn't mentioned that the Decoupage style exists in larger sizes. Now I know it.
It's very chic and I like your green one – especially the matte gold hardware, which is very discreet. The green harmonizes with the gold hardware.

And I favour shoulderstraps on large bags. It's pratical to have the option carrying the bag at least in two ways.

Thanks for sharing your Decoupage collection! Beautiful!

Thanks, boxermom, kat4, and swan1! I really love the D-bag—it’s so simple and low-key. Even though I have been carrying a lot of BV and Valextra recently, I always come back to my D-bags...
