I've always found Tod's website to be lacking....very little is pictured and it's not at all user friendly!
I totally agree with you. They went for expensive "special effects" which are totally useless for customers who want to see the goods. Unfortunately that is a very popular trend in websites for fashion houses.
The Tod's site is very annoying, because they have a sliding horizontal menu which makes me feel seasick and very few photos of the bags. As you said, they should show a selection of all the available colors (at least for the G-bag) and a lot of bags are not even there - just the newest.
A few days ago I saw a very nice "version" of a G-bag in leather (in their Brussels shop) and when I checked their site I saw that it is not even featured there - no mention of colors, size, different materials, etc... And yet this bag is really nice. The only way to know what is going on at Tod's is walking into one of their shops.
But it is a pity to see that they are - apparently - unable to take advantage of the internet
I totally feel you! I was so excited to go to their site for the FW09 collection only to find that the info is far from being complete. Honestly the info we have here on the forum seems to be much more comprehensive.
Also they don't include the color code in their product code on the website so it's really difficult if you want to ask for a specific color!
Maybe we should all send them emails!

I talked to a SA and she told me that the Tod's website is not updated, or is not really kept up to date with the season and what bags/colors there are. That is pretty ridiculous to me but I guess they don't really care because you can't purchase bags through the site and so it's not absolutely necessary to keep on top of the website.
I fell in love with the Toujour collection this past spring, so has re sparked my interest in the brand. But the collection is not going to be continued in the fall :-).
But my SA sent me these pix of the Fall G colors.
Foca, grey (not sure of exact name) with suede panel from front to back, and toffee. The last bag is the signature sacca grande in the shiny patent leather. Only two coming to the states in matte or foca and I am on order for one.
